Earth Hour at CAPSQUARE

I went to CAPSQUARE yesterday for Earth Hour to participate in the Walk of Hope. I'm reallllyyyy proud to be part of it, although at first I was hesitating, what would 1 hour do? But if everyone around the world does it, it shows that the world are trying to make a change. It could be a gimmick, but hey, at least people are supporting it, and know the importance of it right?

Me and Jade reached there around 4 something, and we walked from Dang Wangi station to CAPSQUARE. When we reached, we were greeted by this.

I was excited when I saw this! Music was already blaring and all, and the Eco-Bazaar was going on as well. But the amount of stalls were quite limited though, although I did splurge a little. :)

I find this really really cool, BECOME, and their recyclable bags are so nice! But quite expensive though, RM40. :( I would really like to own one. :( Luckily I got an Earth Hour bag! :D

The Eco Bazaar was quite interesting as well, mostly they sell eco friendly stuff, and there's even a petition for the endangered turtles by WWF. There's this stall as well, where you get to write a little pledge for the environment.

Seriously, I'm minimizing the use of plastic bags already. If I don't need one, I won't take it. So everyone should do the same. Or just keep a recyclable bag in your bag. :)

Next up, KL Design Week which is happening at the same venue! :D

I broke my room's latch

Heehee. Got locked out yesterday night from my room. Somehow the latch latched by itself. My roommate came back first, and thought I was in. Then she panicked when I came back. :D

We spent around an hour figuring out how to open it without resorting to force. I tried using cards, and I destroy my ex college's identification card, and around 6 of my name cards. :D

So in the end, we resorting to using pure strength. Muahahha.

I can't find the screw anymore. O_O!

The front view. O_O

I iz strong! :D (My roomie also)

Lucky the door didn't break.

How to Make Longan Cake

How to make longan cake? Super easy I tell you. Sueling taught me when we went to her house for sleepover party. I think I also know how to make it already, only I don't have the chance and nobody is confident enough to try it.

So what are the ingredients for a superbly delicious longan cake?

1. Water

It is said that water is the essence of life. Ahahah. And it is important to make the dough. It is the essence of life of a longan cake!

2. Sponge Mix

Ta-dah! Sponge Mix! I was shocked with this as well. You do not need to buy other ingredients and make them yourself. Just buy a sponge mix! :D

3. 3 eggs

Eggs! (I don't know what to elaborate)

4. Longans

The key ingredient of a longan cake! LONGAN! We used the canned ones. Very nice. Haha. Remember the keep the longan-ish water in the can as well. It will be used for the cream.

So with so few ingredients, the process is also very simple.

Firstly, pour 500g of the sponge mix into the mixing thing (I don't know what is it call TT_TT) and add water.

Then, add the eggs.

Then mix them together with the electric mixer (Omg I found the name)

Add a little of the sugary longan-ish water from the canned longans as well.

Mix it until it is whitish and smooth, and pour them into the baking tray. Remember to add the thin thin paper used for baking first.

Then, put it in tthe oven, and wait.

At the mean time, make the cream!

I got impatient from this stage onwards, thus I shall explain verbally.

To make the cream, get a prepacked cream, and add longan water, and a bit of longan bits into the mixer. Then mix it till it is all whitish and not bubbly.

Put it in the fridge, wait for the cake to be done and wa-lah!

Spread the cream over the cake, and decorate it with longan bits.

P/S: I hope my memories of the whole process is correct. \O_o/

Unfortunately, I didn't even try a slice. TT_TT

Ibu Ayam tangkap Helang

I went Genting last week with my classmates! :D

And in the night, there's nothing to do so a bunch of us end up playing childhood games outside the Genting theme park.

Here's one of the games that we played, which is the Ibu Ayam, Anak Ayam game. I bet everyone played this before right? Ahahaha.

Helang: Teck Seng
Ibu Ayam: Jordan
Anak Ayam(s): Alwi, Chingy, Pam, Jade.

I don't know why, but he ran away from the Ibu Ayam ahahha.

And since I'm turning 21 this year, I wanna go up Genting and go into the Casino without being stopped. :D

2-AID Communication

I'm in my final semester already. Time flies, really. And in this semester, I took up this subject called Corporate Communication. Basically, for our class's final project, we are doing an event called, Project UnMasked where we are focusing on the eradicating the discrimination towards AIDS/HIV carriers.

We are engaging with Pink Triangle, and is executing the event tentatively on the 1st of March. It will be a whole day event where the public can learn more about this issue.

2-AID Communication, comprising of Class IAA65&66. Why 2-AID? Firstly, there are 28 of us, and the name can have a few more meanings. One, we are aiding these people who are being discriminated, and secondly, 2-AID which is 'to help'. Heehee, my class is a bunch of creative people. :X

There will be fund raising events going on to make the event a success, and we are in the midst of gathering sponsorships as well, as well as engaging the media. For our first event, food sale in IACT starting from next week!

I can't wait to see the event happening! I'll be updating on this from time to time, so if anyone is interested, do contact me yeah. Help me spread the word around too when the official promotional items are out. :D

Oh yeah, our official 2-AID tag! :D

Cousin's Wedding

I'm back cause I'm back in Ipoh! XD Having no internet in PJ is really suffocating. I think I'm gonna edit all my pictures, and post everything as drafts, and put the scheduling thingy.

And luckily I brought back my external, thus I can update on my cousin's wedding which happened last Valentines. Romantic sial. Ahaha. My parents and relatives drove up on Saturday morning, fetched me and all of us went to Shah Alam. The itinery of that day was church ceremony, then the dinner in Palace of Golden Horses in the Mines. I always thought it was in Putrajaya, =P.

The church! One thing I don't understand hor, is from Shah Alam we went to KL for the church ceremony, then we went all the way back to The Mines for the dinner. >_< I don't like travelling like that. But on the way to the church, I passed by Nuffnang's office there! XD Was happily showing my parents.

The ceremony was around an hour, and then the lovely couple went out to release the doves. Syiok! I don't know whether you guys can see the little boy a not, but his face super funny. Huhu.

Then all of us departed to the hotel for the wedding dinner. Oh my God, the whole place filled with horses. =____=" From the floor to the ceiling, everything has the horse elements.

Since it's an inter-racial wedding thingy, the tea ceremony was not exempted. Above is my parents drinking the tea, and the angpao giving thingy. Not to mention, I got an angpao also bwahahha.

I wanted to put pictures of myself, but paiseh la. So this is my cousin! He's teh cutest! I can play with him whole day. :D

After some lingering around, and pictures taking session, everyone was ushered to the hall for the dinner.

"I like the food" - Quoted from Ken Joe
, when I told him I like weddings. Ahaha.

Table 22, and the menu for the night.

I can't to wait to see my chindian nieces or nephews. Woohoo!

Domo-kun!

I bought this yesterday, yesterday in One U.

My first Domo-kun! Bought from Action City.

I want to blog everyday. TT_TT
